Industrial Validation: Brazil’s Glass Leader Cebrace Enters Homerun’s Solar Glass Strategy

A Glass Giant Joins the Equation

Homerun Resources Inc. has added another strategically relevant component to the industrial architecture surrounding its planned Solar Glass Project in Bahia, Brazil. Today, the company announced a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Cebrace Cristal Plano Ltda., Brazil’s leading float glass manufacturer, to evaluate a commercial partnership supporting the development of Homerun’s planned 1,000 tonne-per-day solar glass manufacturing facility.

The strategic relevance lies in the identity and capabilities of the counterparty. Cebrace is deeply embedded in Brazil’s industrial glass sector and combines established domestic manufacturing capacity with the global technical heritage of Saint-Gobain and NSG Group.

For Homerun, engagement with such an experienced industry participant comes at a formative stage, as the company advances from feasibility and project definition toward financing, commercial arrangements and construction.

The MOU therefore introduces another layer of industrial participation around a project whose success will ultimately depend on the coordination of technology, capital, manufacturing expertise, supply chains and market access. It adds relevant domestic operating experience to that framework while strengthening the connection between Homerun’s planned manufacturing platform and Brazil’s existing glass industry.

The significance of the announcement therefore extends beyond the potential supply of back glass. Cebrace brings more than 5 decades of Brazilian glass industry experience, established domestic manufacturing capabilities and the technical heritage of 2 of the world’s largest glass groups into the evaluation of Homerun’s project.

CEBRACE: AN INDUSTRIAL HEAVYWEIGHT IN BRAZILIAN GLASS

Cebrace was established in 1974 as a joint venture between France’s Saint-Gobain and Japan’s NSG Group, global industry leaders with extensive experience in glass manufacturing and advanced glass technologies.

Cebrace began float glass production in Brazil in 1982 and describes itself today as the country’s market leader in flat glass. Its operations and product portfolio extend across construction, residential and commercial architecture, transportation, appliances, refrigeration and other industrial applications. Cebrace also manufactures technologically advanced glass products including Extra Clear glass, coated solar-control glass and low-e solutions.

Its solar-control portfolio illustrates the technical depth behind the company. Cebrace manufactures coated glass products engineered to manage light, infrared radiation, heat transfer and energy efficiency, including its Cool Lite product families.

For Homerun, this creates a strategically relevant industrial relationship with an established domestic glass manufacturer operating within the same broader materials and manufacturing ecosystem in which the Solar Glass Project is being developed.

POTENTIAL ECONOMIC UPSIDE

Under the exclusive MOU, Homerun and Cebrace will evaluate a commercial structure under which Cebrace could supply solar module back glass for integration into Homerun’s solar solutions.

Cebrace would also provide strategic advisory support toward the development, implementation and operation of Homerun’s planned manufacturing facility.

The potential supply arrangement could directly influence the production configuration contemplated in Homerun’s recently completed Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS).

The BFS currently envisages 4 production lines consisting of 2 front-glass lines, 1 back-glass line and 1 hybrid line.

If the Cebrace evaluation results in definitive commercial agreements, Homerun could potentially reconfigure the facility around 3 dedicated front-glass lines and 1 hybrid line, while sourcing back glass from Cebrace.

That distinction is economically important because Homerun identifies front glass as the highest-value and highest-margin product within its planned production mix.

The proposed relationship therefore creates the possibility of allocating a greater proportion of Homerun’s manufacturing capacity toward the product carrying the strongest margins while integrating an established Brazilian producer into the supply of back glass.

For a project that has already completed its BFS, this introduces a potentially meaningful opportunity to optimize the manufacturing model and increase the proportion of production allocated to higher-margin front glass, without requiring an expansion of the 4-line manufacturing configuration contemplated in the BFS.

INDUSTRIAL VALIDATION AT AN IMPORTANT STAGE

The timing also deserves attention. Homerun has moved through several important stages of project development during 2026, progressively strengthening the technical, financial, regulatory and commercial foundations required to advance a large-scale industrial project toward execution:

  • The company completed the BFS for the Solar Glass Project in May, establishing the engineering and economic foundation required for advanced financing discussions.
  • The project subsequently entered Bahia’s Programa Desenvolve industrial incentive program, strengthening the government and fiscal framework surrounding the proposed development.
  • Homerun has also expanded its financing strategy through investment banking mandates and project finance initiatives.
  • The Cebrace MOU now adds another dimension: An established Brazilian industrial participant evaluating how its manufacturing capabilities and technical expertise could integrate directly with Homerun’s proposed facility.

That progression is increasingly important. Large industrial projects are ultimately built through the convergence of engineering, capital, government support, technology, suppliers, customers and operating expertise. Homerun is gradually assembling those elements around the Solar Glass Project.

The Cebrace relationship may be particularly relevant from an execution perspective. Developing a new large-scale glass manufacturing operation requires considerably more than suitable raw material and attractive project economics. It requires practical knowledge of furnace operations, product specifications, quality control, maintenance, logistics, customer requirements and the realities of operating within Brazil’s industrial environment.

Cebrace has accumulated that experience over decades. Its potential advisory role could therefore give Homerun access to knowledge that would otherwise have to be developed internally or sourced through multiple external providers.

For financiers and commercial counterparties, the involvement of an established domestic industry participant could also contribute another layer of technical and operational credibility as project development advances.

The strategic setting for Homerun’s Solar Glass Project: Large-scale solar growth, accelerating industrial investment, development financing and exceptional high-purity silica resources are converging in Brazil. Against this backdrop, Homerun is working to establish a domestic solar glass supply chain around its Santa Maria Eterna silica resource, with the Cebrace MOU potentially adding the manufacturing expertise and established industrial capabilities of Brazil’s leading float glass producer.

BUILDING A DOMESTIC SOLAR GLASS INDUSTRY

There is also a broader strategic implication. Brazil has developed one of the world’s major solar markets, yet significant portions of the photovoltaic manufacturing supply chain remain dependent on imported components.

Homerun’s strategy is designed around converting its high-purity silica resources in Bahia into domestically manufactured solar glass.

A commercial partnership with Cebrace could deepen that domestic supply-chain model considerably by combining Homerun’s planned solar glass capacity and high-purity silica feedstock with the manufacturing capabilities and operating expertise of Brazil’s established flat glass leader.

In today’s news-release, Homerun CEO Brian Leeners described Cebrace’s willingness to evaluate the relationship as a “meaningful validation” of the company’s strategic vision:

“This MOU represents much more than an obvious economically beneficial supply relationship. It is an opportunity to combine Homerun’s unique high-purity silica resources with the decades of technical expertise, operating experience and industrial leadership of Brazil’s largest float glass manufacturer. The willingness of Cebrace to evaluate a strategic supply relationship with Homerun is a meaningful validation of our strategic vision. As we systematically advance financing, engineering, permitting, government and commercial partnerships, we continue to execute on risk reduction while strengthening the long-term competitiveness of our vertically integrated Solar Glass Platform with strong local supply chain alignment and exceptional technical depth. We look forward to the culmination of the MOU process in a successful commercial partnership.”

That assessment appears particularly relevant when viewed alongside the sequence of developments now surrounding the project:

  1. A completed BFS.
  2. Government industrial incentives.
  3. Advancing project financing.
  4. And now an exclusive evaluation with Brazil’s leading float glass manufacturer.

Each development addresses a different component required to move a nearly 400 million USD industrial project toward realization, while collectively strengthening the framework surrounding its potential execution.

The next phase will be defined by converting these advancing workstreams into definitive agreements, committed capital and ultimately construction, progressively moving the Solar Glass Project from development planning toward physical execution.

For Homerun, the direction is becoming increasingly clear: The company is assembling the industrial, financial, technical and commercial framework required to transform its high-purity silica resources into a vertically integrated solar glass manufacturing platform in the Americas.

Conceptual rendering of a potential future build-out of Homerun‘s Santa Maria Eterna Industrial Hub in Bahia, Brazil. The long-term vision combines silica processing, solar glass manufacturing and advanced silica purification within a vertically integrated industrial platform.
